For Hal and Emilee Bruen, franchise ownership with Granite Garage Floors created an opportunity to build a successful business while prioritizing family. After spending more than a decade in the corporate restaurant industry, Hal was looking for a career that would provide greater flexibility and allow him to be more present for his wife and children.
The couple opened Granite Garage Floors Nashville in 2017 after extensive research and a series of visits to the brand's headquarters. Since then, they have grown the business into a well-established operation serving Middle Tennessee. Hal focuses on sales, customer relationships and project oversight, while Emilee manages accounting, payroll and administrative functions that keep the business running smoothly.
Today, the Bruens credit their success to teamwork, strong support from the franchisor and a shared commitment to both their business and family. As they look ahead, they plan to continue expanding their operation through strategic hiring and market growth.
